After two CDs on
Kranky and his own imprint Autumn Records, this year
Davis released a 40 minute long cassette on
Digitalis Limited called Full Spectrum.
These tracks were recorded in August '09.
Greg Davis is picturing all colors of the rainbow on
this one. It is like watching fireworks shining
indirectly on your bedroom walls, but all in slow
motion. Davis who has a master in composition
created two beautiful drones and complements the
studies of color theory with another component –
sound. So the Bauhaus school’s theory of colors get
another dimension besides geometry and color, simple
as that.

Sadly this tape was limited to 150 pro-dubbed copies
and is already sold out on the label, but hopefully
a reprint on some other format is coming up. Still
are some available on his Autumn Records store;
beautiful purple tapes inside a basic and formal
cover.
